
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 shares the 443cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with the Scram 440, on which it was first introduced in 2025. This engine is now paired with a 6-speed gear box. The major difference between the both is the front wheel size, the Himalayan gets a 21-incher whereas the Scram uses a 19-inch front wheel. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh ex-showroom for all the three colour options Nelong White, Sela Black and Mustang Brown, which makes it Rs 3,371 more affordable than the top variant of the Scram 440 at Rs 2.32 lakh. The Himalayan 440 remains an accessible and less intimidating motorcycle than the Himalayan 450, thanks to its lower 800mm seat height, simpler feature set and significant price saving over the liquid-cooled Himalayan. It is likely to appeal to those who are looking for a bike with less frills and electronics, with an old school and purposeful mindset.
