Triumph recently launched the Bonneville T4 in India alongside the Bonneville T40 and the T40 Black. The T4 is the most affordable variant in the Bonneville range, priced at Rs 2.55 lakh (ex-showroom), and is available in three paint schemes.

The colour options on the Bonneville T4 include Phantom Black, Carnival Red and Competition Green. All three colourways feature monotone treatments, which look rather basic compared to the T40 range. Unlike the Bonneville T40, the T4’s colour palette is considerably simpler and may not appeal to buyers looking for the visual character from a Bonneville.

That said, the Bonneville T4 retains the same design language as the T40. It gets a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlight, longer mudguards, twin rear shocks, tube-type spoked wheels, and a peashooter-style exhaust. The motorcycle also gets a brushed steel finish on the engine covers and other panels.

The Triumph Bonneville T4 is powered by the same 349cc, liquid-cooled engine as the T40. It produces 28.6bhp and 31Nm, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets three riding modes — Road, Rain and Eco — a colour LCD with turn-by-turn navigation, phone connectivity and dual-channel ABS. It misses out on features such as a TFT display and lean-sensitive rider aids like cornering ABS, cornering traction control, which are standard on the T40 and T40 Black.
