Kawasaki has launched the new Z650RS in India with a price tag of Rs. 7.83 lakh, which is the same as before. In fact, the company hasn’t changed anything in the motorcycle, not even the colour option. It has just been given the ‘2027’ tag on the official website, perhaps indicating the fact that it’ll be on sale for a year more.
The Z650RS is built around a lightweight trellis frame and comes equipped with features like traction control, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Powering the motorcycle is a 649cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 67bhp and 64Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine is known for its smooth and linear power delivery, making it approachable yet engaging for everyday riding.
The main highlight of the Z650RS is its classy neo-retro design. The bike looks quite handsome with a round headlamp, twin-pod console, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat sitting on the sleek tail section. The golden alloy wheels further accentuate its visual appeal. Riding on 17-inch wheels, it is suspended by 41mm telescopic forks up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock. The diamond-type chassis uses twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear to shed speed.
