The Z900 got a comprehensive makeover for model year 2025, and Kawasaki has managed to keep the price at a rather sweet Rs 9.99 lakh despite the GST revision. For 2027, the brand is changing only the colour options offered and has left the motorcycle untouched, including the aforementioned ex-showroom price.
- Z900 received a completely new design and additional electronics in 2025
- White/Green and Grey/Black colours replace MY2026’s Green/Black and Black/Gold
Z900 continues to be the most accessible litre-class motorcycle in India
To recap, Kawasaki refreshed the entire design of the Z900 in 2025, giving it a sharper Sugomi styling and an enhanced suite of electronics. Some of these include a completely new 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cornering-sensitive ABS and traction control, and cruise control. All of that gets carried over to 2027, as does the 948cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine making 124hp at 9,500rpm and 98.6Nm at 7,700rpm.
Other cycle parts remain unchanged as well, including the USD fork and backlink monoshock units, as well as front and rear brakes. The full electronics suite and the rebound- and spring-adjustable suspension at both ends have been carried over too. New for 2027 are the two colour options, white with a green frame and grey with a black frame. The model year 2026’s candy lime green with a grey frame and black with a gold frame options have been discontinued. Deliveries are expected to commence today.
