Kia Motor has been working on a Hybrid version of Seltos for the Indian market. But globally, Seltos has a Hybrid version based on the 1.6L engine for North American market. Now, 2nd Gen Seltos Hybrid has debuted for the European market and it has been showcased at the Paris Motor Show 2026.
In the video seen by SCchannelBG, we can see a walkaround of exteriors and interiors of 2nd Gen Kia Seltos Hybrid which is set to go on sale in Europe some time in 4th quarter of 2026. This particular Seltos Hybrid is the e-AWD version which has a sticker price of around EUR 40k (around Rs 42 lakh).
2027 Kia Seltos Hybrid Debuts
Seltos is Kia’s second best-selling vehicle globally and it is sold in multiple markets including India. Seltos Hybrid just made its European debut at 2026 Paris Motor Show and it showcases an e-AWD system, a first for any Kia vehicle globally. In Europe, it will be sold alongside other Kia Hybrid vehicles like Sportage, K4 and Niro.
It was the X Line version of Seltos Hybrid that Kia showcased in Paris Motor Show. We can see X Line specific elements along with X Line badges. The most notable attribute is the e-AWD version of Seltos Hybrid showcased for Europe, making it the first Kia to get an e-AWD system to take on Renault Captur E-Tech, Toyota C-HR and VW T-Roc, among others.
The Hybrid e-AWD system in Seltos Hybrid comprises a 1.6L Petrol engine alongside a battery pack, which is expected to sit under the floor. This engine is rated at 102 bhp and 141 Nm and the electric motor drawing juice from the battery, is rated at 129 bhp and 388 Nm. Engine is mated to a 6-speed DCT and Kia claims 14.71 km/l fuel efficiency too.
With the battery and electric motor, Kia Seltos Hybrid e-AWD can drive on pure electric power as well for short distances and at favourable slow speeds. This is not a plug-in Hybrid and the battery is replenished with regen only. Electric motor is situated at the rear axle and it drives rear wheels while engine drives front wheels, giving Seltos Hybrid AWD capabilities. There’s also a V2L feature, if you’re into that sort of thing.
India-spec Seltos Hybrid, What To Expect?
There are very little visual differences between global Seltos Hybrid and India-spec Seltos Hybrid. On the outside, both global-spec and India-spec Seltos also get similar interiors, but only global model gets additional attributes like HUD. Where powertrains are concerned, a more Indian-ised version of Seltos Hybrid based on 1.5L Petrol engine is expected to launch in 2027.
