Honda recently launched the all-new CB500 in India to fill the void left behind by the Royal Enfield Classic 500. The motorcycle is priced from Rs. 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom), and is available in five colour options across three variants.

The Honda CB500 is offered in Alloy, Spoke Tubeless, and Spoke Tubeless with Graphics variants, with each version getting its own set of colour choices. The Alloy variant is available in Pearl Deep Ground Gray and Pearl Igneous Black. The Spoke Tubeless variant gets Mat Steel Silver Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic, while the range-topping Spoke Tubeless with Graphics variant is offered in Pearl Igneous Black with Stripes, featuring contrasting golden graphics.

The CB500 is powered by a 501cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with an oil cooler, producing around 28bhp and 43.3Nm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox and gets features such as Honda Selectable Torque Control, dual-channel ABS, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and all-LED lighting.

Honda has positioned the CB500 as a modern retro roadster, with its styling drawing inspiration from the larger Honda CB750. The motorcycle is manufactured in India and is positioned above Honda’s small-capacity 350cc range. It will be a premium, more refined, and reliable alternative to the Harley-Davidson X440 T.
