The Honda CB500 has been launched in India starting at Rs. 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It stands out as a unique offering in the market with its 500cc single-cylinder engine, but there’s a lot more to it than just that. Here we go over the top highlights of this motorcycle:
Honda CB750 Inspired Styling
The Honda CB500 features a proper retro design that takes inspiration from the iconic Honda CB750 of the past. The bike features a round LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped tank, and a chrome-finished engine and exhaust looks really good.

Out of the five colours available, the Pearl Igneous Black looks the most premium with its golden pinstripes on the tank.
The Big Single
What really makes the bike special is the big single powering the bike. The engine is a 501cc, air/oil-cooled single-cylinder unit producing 27.6bhp and 43.3Nm.

The long-stroke motor produces more torque than power on paper, and the riding experience should be quite torquey and ideal for cruising on the highways.
Three Variants
The motorcycle is available in three different variants, at different price points. The base alloy wheel variant is priced at Rs. 2.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the mid-spec Spoke wheel variant is priced at Rs. Rs. 2,99,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The top-end spoke with stripe variant is priced at Rs. 3,01,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Console & Features
The Honda CB500 features a single-pod instrument console with a digital inset. There’s an analogue speedometer, and the digital inset displays information such as odometer, tripmeter, gear position readouts, among others.
Additionally, the motorcycle also gets a traction control system as standard, which should improve overall safety when riding on wet and slippery surfaces.
