Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 roadmap includes seven all-new products and five major upgrades, with the first launch scheduled by Q2 2027
Stellantis has announced a fresh investment commitment of approximately Rs 4,000 crore for India, supporting 12 product introductions across Jeep and Citroen over the next three years. The programme includes five Jeep launches and seven Citroen launches, covering seven all-new products and five major upgrades.
Announced under its FaSTLAne 2030 roadmap, the expansion will take Stellantis’ cumulative investment in India from over Rs 11,000 crore to approximately Rs 15,000 crore by 2030. The first product under the new programme is scheduled to launch by the second quarter of 2027.
Four New Jeep, Three New Citroen
Stellantis confirmed four all-new Jeep products — a B-segment SUV (likely a sub 4m rival to the likes of Brezza, Nexon, XUV3XO, Venue, Sonet), C-segment SUV (Sierra based Creta rival?), D-segment SUV (Fortuner rival?) and D-segment pickup (Hilux rival?). Citroen will add an A-segment car (new entry level hatch), C-segment SUV (Creta rival?) and D-segment MPV (Innova rival?).
Combined with the announced brand-wise launch totals, this indicates Jeep’s five-product programme comprises four new models and one major upgrade. Citroen’s seven-product programme comprises three new models and four major upgrades. Stellantis has not identified which existing models will receive these upgrades.
Builds On Tata–Stellantis Partnership
The latest announcement follows developments outlined in Stellantis’ May 2026 APAC strategy presentation. That roadmap highlighted partnership-led growth, greater use of Indian manufacturing and sourcing, and an India-sourced Jeep product expected around 2028.
The subsequent Tata–Stellantis agreement formalised collaboration covering vehicle architectures and technology. Today’s announcement adds a defined India product programme and investment commitment to that broader strategy.
Localisation Target Of 90%
Stellantis is targeting localisation levels of 90% across Jeep and Citroen. Future products will draw on India’s manufacturing, engineering and supplier capabilities wherever commercially and technically viable.
The company currently operates manufacturing facilities at Ranjangaon in Maharashtra and Thiruvallur and Hosur in Tamil Nadu. These are supported by engineering and software operations in Bengaluru, an ICT presence in Hyderabad and a domestic supplier network.
Higher localisation will be important as Stellantis seeks to expand into more segments while improving its competitiveness. The company also intends to increase India’s contribution to its global sourcing operations.
Wider Sales And Service Reach
The product expansion will be accompanied by improvements in sales reach, service capability, parts availability and the ownership experience. Stellantis plans to use its Brand House format to expand into suitable Tier-2, Tier-3 and Tier-4 markets.
The company says its India business grew 35% in the second quarter of calendar year 2026 compared with the first quarter. Separately, Citroen retail sales increased 68% year-on-year in Q2 2026.
India’s Export Role To Grow
Stellantis currently exports from India to approximately 50 countries. Around 95% of the engines and gearboxes produced at its Hosur facility are exported. Under FaSTLAne 2030, India-developed vehicles are also planned for overseas markets as part of the Group’s Asia-Pacific strategy.
With 12 product introductions planned, Stellantis is preparing to expand both its domestic presence and India’s role in its global operations. Model-specific details, powertrains and subsequent launch dates will be announced closer to introduction.
