JSW Motors’ maiden car for India now has a launch date after delays. The company’s independent journey in India’s automotive segment will start on 4th of December, 2026. Their first vehicle is expected to be called Combat and it will be a plug-in Hybrid vehicle and will mark JSW Motors as a standalone brand in the country.

JSW Combat Launch Date

After a successful partnership with MG Motor, JSW Group is taking greater strides in India’s automotive market to be a standalone brand. The company is building a manufacturing presence in India too, with a production facility being developed at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.

New Jetour T2 Facelift

Their maiden vehicle, the JSW Combat SUV, is expected to be brought into the country via CBU route, based on Jetour T2 from China’s Chery Automobile. This strategic partnership will spawn future vehicles, some of them could be CKD or even domestically manufactured. These vehicles include Jaecoo J5, Jaecoo J7 and iCar V23. All three of them are spied on Indian roads.

Sticking with Jetour T2 based JSW Combat SUV, it was supposed to launch by Diwali time, but is now delayed to the fag end of 2026. Globally, Jetour T2 just received a facelift, but the industry buzz suggests that India will get pre-facelift version instead of the latest iteration of this rugged SUV.
