Mercedes-Benz India sold 5,422 vehicles in July–September 2026, while nine-month sales reached a record 15,190 units
Mercedes-Benz India has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales and strongest January–September performance. The luxury carmaker recorded sales of 5,422 units in Q3 2026, up 5.92% from 5,119 units in the corresponding quarter last year. Sales also increased 17% over Q2, according to the company.
Nine-Month Sales Surpass Previous Record
The historical figures put the latest result into perspective. Mercedes-Benz’s January–September sales had declined 1.72% in 2025 after reaching 14,379 units in 2024. This year’s performance reverses that decline and exceeds the previous nine-month high by 5.64%.
Quarterly growth also strengthened after an almost flat comparison last year. Q3 sales had edged up from 5,117 units in 2024 to 5,119 units in 2025. The latest increase to 5,422 units establishes a new quarterly benchmark.
Top-End Luxury And AMG Grow Faster
Mercedes-Benz’s Top-End Luxury portfolio grew 13% during January–September, accounting for more than a quarter of total sales. The company highlighted demand for models including the S-Class, GLS, Mercedes-Maybach range and AMG G 63.
Personalisation also played a significant role. Mercedes said its MANUFAKTUR programme accounted for approximately 75% of Top-End Luxury sales. Mercedes-AMG portfolio grew 18% during the nine-month period. The AMG G 63 also recorded its highest-ever monthly sales.
E-Class Leads Core Luxury Portfolio
Core Luxury remained Mercedes-Benz India’s largest sales contributor, accounting for approximately 60% of January–September volumes. This group includes the C-Class, long-wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE. According to Mercedes, the long-wheelbase E-Class continued to be India’s highest-selling luxury car.
Entry Luxury, comprising the GLA and CLA BEV, contributed approximately 15% of sales and grew 4%. This gave Mercedes growth across both its entry offerings and higher-priced portfolios.
CLA BEV Orders Cross 1,000
Mercedes-Benz’s battery-electric vehicle sales increased 16% during January–September, despite what the company described as limited vehicle availability. The new CLA BEV has secured more than 1,000 confirmed orders, with deliveries extending to March 2027.
Meanwhile, the EQS Maybach SUV recorded 68% growth. Mercedes also highlighted continued interest in the EQS SUV and G580. Managing Director and CEO Santosh Iyer attributed the record results to the company’s product mix, customer experience initiatives and retail network development.
S-Class Deliveries, GLC BEV Debut Next
Mercedes will begin deliveries of the new electrified S-Class from mid-October. Its MANUFAKTUR Edition is sold out for the year, while a limited number of EXCLUSIVE Line units remain available for orders. The next addition to its electric portfolio will be the new GLC BEV, scheduled to make its India launch on November 4, 2026.
