While receiving comprehensive updates, the new Tucson has seen only a modest ~10% price hike for the base variant
As the new Tucson gradually rolls out across global markets, its prices have been announced in South Korea. The SUV is being offered in four broad trims – H-Pick, Exclusive, XRT and Inspiration. Powertrain options for the Korean market include a 1.6-litre turbo petrol and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid. Bookings are currently open and deliveries are expected to commence soon.
New Hyundai Tucson prices – Petrol and hybrid variants
Starting with the pure petrol variants, the base H-Pick is priced at KRW 31.4 million (Rs 22.34 Lakh). That’s an increase of KRW 2.96 million (Rs 2.11 lakh), as compared to the previous model that was offered at KRW 28.44 million (Rs 20.24 lakh). In percentage terms, that’s an increase of around 10.4%. Next is the Exclusive variant, priced at KRW 35.3 million (Rs 25.11 lakh).
New Tucson XRT variant has a price tag of KRW 36.8 million (Rs 26.18 lakh). The Inspiration variant costs KRW 37.9 million (Rs 26.97 lakh). Coming to the hybrid variants, the base H-Pick is available at KRW 36.15 million (Rs 25.73 lakh) after tax benefits. That’s an increase of KRW 2.97 million (Rs 2.11 lakh), as compared to the previous base hybrid model.
New Tucson Exclusive hybrid is available at KRW 39.9 million (Rs 28.39 lakh), whereas the XRT hybrid costs KRW 41.65 million (Rs 29.64 lakh). Inspiration hybrid variant is being offered at a starting price of KRW 42.7 million (Rs 30.38 lakh). All these prices reflect the applicable tax benefits.
New Tucson – Variant-wise features
Equipment is largely the same across the respective petrol and hybrid variants, excluding a few exceptions. Even the base H-Pick appears fully loaded with features such as Pleos Connect with a 12.9-inch screen, Gleo AI, App Market, wireless phone projection, OTA updates and Bluelink connectivity suite. The Pleos setup also includes a 9.9-inch slim display.
Other key features include front, side and rear parking sensors, electric parking brake with auto hold, Type C charging ports, rain sensor and air filter. New Tucson base H-Pick variant has manual air conditioning. Safety kit is pretty robust, offering a comprehensive range of ADAS features.
Standard safety features include 9-airbags, hill descent control, pedal misuse safety assist, multi-collision automatic braking system, interior fire extinguisher and tyre pressure monitoring system. The SUV has blind spot monitoring, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, smart cruise control, driver attention warning and steering wheel grip detection.
Exclusive variant gains dual-zone fully automatic AC, smartphone wireless charging, ventilated front seats, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat and 2-way driver’s lumbar support. Also included are features like 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rack, remote smart parking assist and memory reverse assist. XRT variant focuses primarily on cosmetic touch-ups across its exterior and interior.
Top-spec Inspiration variant upgrades with a 17-inch Pleos Connect system. Other exclusive features include dual smartphone wireless charging, genuine leather seats, 2nd row heated seats and ambient mood lighting. Safety features offered exclusively with the Inspiration variant include forward collision avoidance assist (crossing vehicles/opposing vehicles when overtaking/side approaching vehicles/evasive steering assist), highway driving assist 2 and blind spot collision avoidance assist (driving).
