2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 Spied

Bajaj’s Pulsar update programme continues with NS160, as the latest test bike reveals a new instrument console, revised switchgear and WP front suspension

Bajaj Auto has been updating its Pulsar lineup since August, introducing new engines, additional features and hardware upgrades across multiple models. Now, the first spy shots of updated Pulsar NS160 reveal similar changes heading to the sporty 160cc motorcycle.

The test bike has been spotted without camouflage, retaining its familiar styling while carrying a new TFT instrument console, revised handlebar switches and WP-branded USD front forks. The sighting follows recent updates involving NS200, NS400Z, NS125 and N250, alongside the RS200 test motorcycle.

New Pulsar NS160 Gets WP Forks

One of the key changes visible in these images is the WP branding on the front suspension. Similar WP forks were spotted on the updated NS200 test bike earlier, indicating Bajaj is extending the hardware upgrade to NS160 as well.

Current Pulsar NS160 already features 37 mm USD front forks. NS160 continues to feature alloy wheels, a front disc brake and an underbelly exhaust. Its muscular fuel tank, angular tank extensions, split seats and rear grab rails remain recognisable, with black bodywork and red accents on the photographed bike.

TFT Display And Revised Switchgear

Spy shots reveal a new rectangular TFT console, similar in appearance to the units appearing across the updated Pulsar range. Revised switchgear is also visible, including a directional control pad on the left and red switches on the right.

The new screen could bring features such as Google Maps mirroring, smartphone connectivity and document storage, as offered on other recently updated Pulsars.

Bajaj has also been introducing new riding modes, traction control and intelligent throttle on selected Pulsar variants. Whether NS160 receives these features, and in which variants, remains to be confirmed.

Engine And Specifications

For reference, current Pulsar NS160 uses a 160.3cc, oil-cooled, twin-spark, four-valve fuel-injected engine. It produces 17 PS at 9,000 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The existing model gets a Nitrox rear monoshock, a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch wheels with 100/80 front and 130/70 rear tubeless tyres. Kerb weight is 152 kg, while fuel tank capacity is 12 litres.

Latest Addition To Pulsar Update Programme

Bajaj’s recent launches include N160 S and SS in August, followed by new-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. NS400Z subsequently received a TFT variant, while updated N250 SS has now reached dealerships with a six-speed gearbox and Sports Shifter.

NS160 appears to be next in line for a broader equipment update. Its current starting price is Rs 1,26,301, ex-showroom Delhi. The new TFT and WP suspension could bring a price increase, although Bajaj has yet to announce pricing or a launch date.
