  • Three colour schemes announced globally
  • Mechanical package remains unchanged

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R gets an update for 2027 with three fresh colour combinations refreshing it without disturbing its mechanical package. The palette now has the familiar Lime Green with blue detailing, new Metallic Spark Black with Metallic Flat Spark Black and a superb Metallic Matte Carbon Gray with Metallic Spark Black. The green version is naturally the most recognisable Kawasaki of the three, but the darker options give the ZX-6R a rather cooler personality.

The Metallic Spark Black and Metallic Flat Spark Black combination is the stealthier choice. With the ZX-6R’s compact headlights, layered front fairing and blacked-out mechanical parts, an almost completely dark colour scheme makes the motorcycle look particularly purposeful. Metallic Matte Carbon Gray and Metallic Spark Black option is more subtle still, but arguably suits the current-generation ZX-6R very well. Then there is the Lime Green option. For many buyers, this will still be the obvious choice because few colours are as closely associated with a motorcycle manufacturer as Kawasaki green.

There are no major mechanical changes with these new colours. 2027 spec continues with its 636cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine and its same street-focused supersport philosophy separating the ZX-6R from traditional 600cc rivals for years. The extra 36cc as an advantage for low- and mid-range performance away from a racetrack.

Not announced for India yet, but expect the MY27 to make it here soon.
