- 125cc engine, trellis frame, ABS and Uni-Trak suspension
- Both 2027 versions get new colours
Kawasaki Z125 and Ninja 125 have been updated for 2027 with fresh colour schemes. They remain two of the coolest ways to enter the Kawasaki family. These are for the UK market though, neither motorcycle will ever see the India market and there is currently no sign of that changing. A lightweight, well-finished 125cc Ninja or Z could make a very entertaining urban motorcycle.

The 2027 Z125 gets Metallic Spark Black and a more elaborate Pearl Storm Gray, Ebony and Metallic Green combination. The second option is easily the more interesting of the two because it gives the small naked motorcycle bigger and butcher sort of visual treatment.

Ninja 125 gets an even broader palette with Lime Green remaining the obvious Kawasaki choice. There is also an Ebony and Metallic Carbon Gray option for riders who want something more understated. Our pick, however, is the Metallic Graphite Gray and Metallic Spark Black combination with a Noble Frame Metallic Red frame.

Underneath the different bodywork the two motorcycles share much of the same platform. The engine produces roughly 13.8bhp from that single-cylinder tuned with an emphasis on low- and mid-range flexibility. The Z125 uses the same basic engine configuration and chassis architecture.
Both use a tubular trellis frame, as seen on a few bigger nakeds. The company says the compact chassis has been developed around low weight, mass centralisation and predictable handling. Suspension duties are done by a 37mm telescopic fork at the front and Kawasaki’s Uni-Trak suspension system for the rear.
