Bajaj’s upcoming adventure lineup could cover more than one engine capacity, with its Brazil leadership pointing to multiple offerings aimed at different riders

Bajaj’s plans for the adventure motorcycle segment could extend beyond the single model spotted testing so far. In a recent interview with the Bill Motoka channel, Waldyr Ferreira, Executive Director of Bajaj Brazil, indicated that the company is working on more than one offering in the trail category to cater to different customer requirements.

While specific engine capacities remain undisclosed, the development opens up the possibility of an adventure motorcycle family spanning different price and performance levels. Smaller-capacity models could be particularly relevant to Brazil, where lightweight trail motorcycles serve both everyday commuting and rough-road riding needs. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Claudio Lazaro for sharing the update.

Multiple Bajaj Adventure Bikes In Development

During the interview, Ferreira discussed plans to offer multiple solutions within the category rather than restrict the lineup to a single displacement. He also highlighted ongoing testing and development, with an emphasis on competitive specifications and value for money.

This builds on his earlier comments reported in August, when he said adventure-bike prototypes were already in Brazil and that he had ridden one. At the time, Ferreira suggested customers could expect an introduction before the end of 2026, describing it as a Christmas present for those waiting for a Bajaj on-road/off-road motorcycle. The latest comments point to a broader product strategy, although they do not establish whether the different versions will arrive together or be introduced in phases.

150cc And 250cc Versions Could Make Sense

Bajaj has a wide engine portfolio across its existing motorcycles, giving it several potential starting points for an adventure lineup. While options spanning roughly the 150cc–400cc classes could be considered, smaller 150–160cc and 250cc offerings appear plausible for the Brazilian market.

An entry-level model could target buyers looking for manageable performance, affordable running costs and the ability to handle uneven roads. A larger 250cc version could offer more performance for longer journeys and riding with a pillion or luggage.

Earlier spy shots prompted expectations of a 250cc engine derived from the Pulsar N250. That remains a possibility, but the appearance of an engine in a camouflaged test bike cannot establish its displacement. Neither a 150cc nor a 250cc version has been officially identified in the latest comments.

Brazil’s Trail Segment Provides Context

Brazil offers a clear reason for Bajaj to consider more than one capacity. Models such as the Honda NXR Bros 160 and Yamaha Crosser 150 cater to buyers seeking lightweight motorcycles with upright ergonomics and rough-road capability.

Further up the market, the Honda XRE 190, Yamaha Lander 250 and Honda Sahara 300 offer different steps in performance and positioning. A multi-model Bajaj lineup could allow the company to address more of these buyers than a single adventure motorcycle would.

What Earlier Spy Shots Have Revealed

Bajaj’s adventure-bike test mules have previously been seen with a front beak, wire-spoke wheels, fork gaiters and a high-mounted exhaust. Other visible elements include a long single-piece seat, sculpted tank area and upright riding position.

The suspension setup seen on those motorcycles comprises conventional telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, with disc brakes at both ends. These observations relate to the test bikes photographed so far; they do not establish that every future version will share identical hardware. The Trekker name, previously trademarked by Bajaj, remains a possible production name.
