  • Available in 3 new colour options

Bajaj Auto has launched the updated Pulsar NS200, with prices starting at Rs. 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bajaj has been steadily revisiting the entire Pulsar line-up over the last few months, and the NS200 becomes the latest to receive Bajaj’s makeover.

The Pulsar NS200 comes powered by the same 199.5 cc, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine as before. However, Bajaj has squeezed out slightly more performance, with the NS200 now making 25bhp (versus 24bhp in the outgoing model). The Pulsar NS200 also moves to an electronic throttle body (ETB), giving riders multiple ride modes and traction control.

The six-speed gearbox remains largely unchanged, but riders will now benefit from Bajaj’s Sports Shifter, essentially a bi-directional quickshifter.

Underneath its recognisable silhouette, the NS200 uses a perimeter frame. Bajaj has upgraded the upside-down fork, moving from a 33mm to a 37mm unit. At the rear, a preload-adjustable monoshock carries over from its predecessor.

On the technology front, Bajaj has equipped the updated NS200 TFT with a 5-inch colour TFT display, replacing the semi-digital unit found on the previous model. The updated cluster comes with Google Maps mirroring available as standard. The NS200’s convenience factor has improved, with the addition of a Type-C USB port, and Panic Brake alert, which flashes the hazard lights under harsh braking.

The updated NS200 will be available in 3 new colours: Ebony Black/Racing Red, Nardo Grey, and Pearl Metallic White. Deliveries are expected to start soon, but no official date has been provided.
