Alongside their flagship ICE SUV for India, Kia has also launched a host of genuine accessories for Sorento to enhance the ownership experience for buyers and to offer them some level of personalisation. There are up to 21 accessories Kia is offering with Sorento and they aim to enhance visual and functional appeal of Sorento.
Kia Sorento Accessories Revealed – Exterior
On the outside, accessories are mainly to spruce up the design of Sorento further to suit individual taste. However, there are a few functional accessories too. Primary of it being the side steps which help in ingress and egress, especially for the elderly. Sorento’s ground clearance is plenty, designed to tackle bad roads and mild off-roading. One can buy door visors for Sorento, which are lined with chrome too.
Other functional exterior accessory is car cover, tailor-made for Sorento. To spruce up Sorento’s looks further, one can choose to install front bumper garnish, front air vent garnish and rear tail gate garnish. These design enhancing elements get a Satin Silver finish instead of tachy chrome to increase overall elegance. Kia is offering a custom made cover for Sorento’s key fob, which has cutouts for all buttons.
Sorento can be unlocked with a special NFC based key card, which can be bought for Rs 1,500. This key card can unlock and even start the engine. Also, this keycard works with other compatible Kia cars too. One has to simply unpair this key from the Sorento and pair it with other Kia. Multiple key cards per vehicle is not possible. This key card also gets a accessory cover, to be purchased separately.
Interior Accessories
On the inside, Kia Sorento can be fitted with multiple genuine accessories for a higher degree of personalisation. Because the Sorento lacks a standard sunglass holder, Kia offers an accessory that straps on the sunvisor. The dual 12.3-inch screens get a screen protector film to prevent small scratches and scuffs.
Front centre armrest has a storage underneath and you can buy a storage organiser accessory for this area. Dashboard can be adorned with god idol accessories too. You can buy individual neck rest cushion accessory to up the comfort. Then there are dual layer premium floor mats to keep the vehicle tidy.
Because Sorento lacks rear seat entertainment package as standard, Kia is offering you one as accessory. This Android-based rear entertainment screen costs around Rs 65k for one unit and customers can choose to buy two. Each screen gets multiple source inputs to stream content and even gets individual pop-out camera with 12MP resolution for video calls.
Rear windows get sunshades as standard, but front and rear quarter windows can be fitted with sunshade accessories. Below driver seat, buyers can choose to buy a storage box accessory which adds more practicality. In the boot, buyers can choose accessories like trunk sill guard, trunk liner and a dedicated pet cover. For lower trims, Kia also offers dashcam as an accessory.
