  • Teaser video released with text ‘Return to Beyond Belief’
  • Likely to offer significantly less power output than before
  • Official unveil could take place at EICMA 2026

Kawasaki has released a new teaser video which looks like that of the new Ninja H2. The video is accompanied by the text ‘Return to Beyond Belief’, which is clearly a succession of the ‘Beyond Belief’ phrase from the first teaser of the H2 in 2014 when it made its debut. Kawasaki has also given away the signature supercharger sound in the teaser.

One aspect of the upcoming model that might disappoint fans of the Ninja H2 is the lower power figures deciphered from the certification filings with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board earlier this year. It indicated that the new model of the hyper sportsbike will share its emission date with the Z H2. The latter uses a less powerful version of the engine, with the power output hovering close to 197bhp. The older model of the Ninja H2 pumped out close to 228bhp.

Now, the Ninja H2 has not been on sale in Europe since 2021 because it did not comply with the latest emission norms. It has been on sale in the US, though. Making it comply with the new European emission norms at the cost of power output will allow Kawasaki to sell the Ninja in European countries, which happens to be an important market for Kawasaki. The Japanese brand could continue to sell the less powerful Z H2 and Ninja H2 SX sports tourer in Europe because they are compliant with Euro 5 emission norms.

The new Kawasaki Ninja H2 will most likely debut at this year’s EICMA show in Milan in November. As for its India launch, the chances of it coming to our shores are slim but Kawasaki might end up surprising us.
