Nissan registered 11,244 units during Q3 2026. Magnite recorded 4,459 units, almost unchanged from 4,456 units a year earlier. Gravite contributed 4,215 units, while Tekton added 2,570 units. The two newer models together accounted for approximately 60.3% of Nissan’s quarterly sales. The expanded lineup helped Nissan finish the quarter ahead of Renault by 1,710 units, even though Renault narrowly led September sales.

More Portfolio Additions Ahead

Renault and Nissan vehicles are manufactured at the same Renault-owned Chennai plant, with both brands preparing further additions. Renault’s recently launched 1.0-litre turbo-petrol Triber and Duster hybrid could support volumes in the coming months, broadening their appeal beyond the versions reflected in September’s performance.

Renault’s pipeline also includes a Triber turbo-CNG with underbody twin tanks, while a Duster CNG is reportedly under development. A seven-seat Duster is planned for 2027, alongside the upcoming sub-four-metre Bridger SUV. Nissan, meanwhile, is preparing a seven-seat SUV based on the Tekton, expected in early 2027.

The quarterly figures already show the impact of a broader portfolio: Gravite and Tekton drove Nissan’s growth, while Duster helped soften Renault’s decline. Further additions could strengthen that contribution, although a sustained recovery in existing models would provide a firmer foundation for growth.
