Yamaha has updated the R15 V4, bringing the unidirectional quickshifter option to two more colours. Now the Racing Blue and the Matte Pearl White colour schemes come with a quickshifter variant. Earlier, the quickshifter was only available on the Intensity White colour scheme.

For the premium of Rs. 4,650, the quickshifter upgrade is a good deal. The quickshifter will allow clutchless upshifts and should elevate the riding experience. This quickshifter was a much-needed upgrade.
That said, we wish Yamaha had offered it as an optional fitment available in all colours, rather than only a few. Apart from the addition of the quickshifter on these shades, the Yamaha R15 V4 remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with variable valve actuation, producing 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm.
