New top-spec Pulsar N250 SS brings a six-speed transmission, Sports Shifter and five riding modes, with a reported ex-showroom launch price of Rs 1.60 lakh.
After being spied testing alongside updated Pulsar NS200 last month, new Bajaj Pulsar N250 SS has now reached dealer showrooms ahead of its official launch. Positioned as the top-of-the-line variant, N250 SS brings more substantial changes than the earlier spy shots suggested.
Six-Speed Gearbox, Sports Shifter
One of the biggest updates is the six-speed transmission, replacing the earlier five-speed setup. Joining the new gearbox is a Sports Shifter, or quickshifter. The engine retains its existing 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled, with a minor increase in output at 25 PS and 22 Nm.
New TFT Display, Five Riding Modes
A new 5-inch colour TFT display is another prominent addition. It offers functions including Google Maps mirroring, document storage for registration certificate, driving licence and insurance, along with a lap timer.
The console also displays gear position, fuel level, trip information and a side-stand warning. Five riding modes are on offer — Sport, Road, Rain, Off-road and Tour. Traction control and ABS indicators can also be seen in the display screen.
Bajaj has revised the handlebar controls, with a directional keypad on the left to navigate the display. On the right, a dedicated hazard-light button sits above the engine kill/start switch. Both brake and clutch levers feature reach adjustment, while a charging socket is positioned below the handlebar.
Fresh Graphics And Red Alloy Wheels
Styling is similar to the one we saw in the N160 SS. Even the colour scheme of red and black is matching. Visually, N250 SS retains the familiar muscular fuel tank, projector headlamp, sharp DRLs and split-seat layout.
The motorcycle pictured wears glossy black bodywork with red graphics, bright red alloy wheels and matching red pillion grab rails. N250 SS branding appears on the rear side panels. Gold-finished USD front forks, a rear monoshock and disc brakes at both ends are also visible, along with dual-channel ABS. The conventional side-mounted exhaust and rear tyre hugger continue.
Pulsar N250 SS Launch Price Rs 1.60 Lakh
Dealer information puts Pulsar N250 SS top variant ex-showroom price at Rs 1,59,650. This is about Rs 15k higher than the existing starting price listed on Bajaj site for the N250 range, which is Rs 1.45 lakh.
With dealership arrivals underway, an official launch appears close. The combination of a six-speed gearbox, quickshifter and TFT console gives this update a stronger mechanical and technology focus, while retaining N250’s recognisable styling.
