Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has been expanding their CB lineup to take on Royal Enfield’s extensive range of classic retro motorcycles. Now, the Japanese 2W juggernaut has just launched a new colour variant of its popular CB350C ahead of Diwali. This new variant is only a colour variation and is based on the base STD variant.
As seen in the video by Machine Decode, the new colour variant is much Black-er than the already existing Black colour of CB350C. It costs around Rs 2.32 lakh (OTR) and is likely to appeal to audiences looking for a stealthy look.
New Honda CB350C Black Edition
Up until now, if you wanted a Black version of Honda CB350C, there was the Pearl Igneous Black colour offered with DLX and DLX Pro variants. It was not an all-Black colourway. The just launched Black Edition (not official name) is much Black-er than being outright all-Black murdered look.
More elements are Blacked out in this new Edition which were usually Chrome up until now. We’re talking about the Black highlights just now introduced to get it closer to an all-Black look, without being all-Black. There are some Chrome elements like the exhaust, handlebar and rear twin shock suspension.
Also, there are a few Silver elements remaining like in the handlebar clamps. Apart from these, most elements are now Black. These include the stalks to hold both fenders are now Black, headlight cowl is now Black and then lower part of front RSU telescopic front forks are now Black and even the horns are Black.
On the engine block, we can still see some chrome detailing, but the chrome plate with Honda logo on the crankcase, is now Black. Even the ORVMs, which would usually be Chrome, are Blackened in this new Black Edition of CB350C.
Any Other Updates?
Apart from the Blacked-out (almost) look, this new variant of Honda CB350C remains similar in terms of its core mechanicals. This particular variant gets the conventional rounded fenders instead of the chopped design and then it gets the sleeker pea-shooter exhaust. Engine is still the same – 348.36cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit with 21 PS and 29.5 Nm, mated to a slipper clutch and a 5-speed gearbox.
