The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 has been launched in India at Rs. 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Here are the top highlights of the latest Ninja 500.

New Lime Green colour

The biggest update for the 2027 Ninja 500 is its new Lime Green paint scheme. The motorcycle gets Kawasaki’s signature green colour, that’s actually quite bright and is complemented by contrasting white and blue graphics. Unlike the international model, which is available in two colour options, the India-spec Ninja 500 is offered in a single colour.

The new colour, however, is better suited to the Ninja 500 as previously, the bike was available in Black and it masked the true size of the bike as well as affected its road presence.

Same 451cc parallel-twin engine

The Ninja 500 continues to use the same 451cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It produces 44.7bhp and 42.6Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine also gets an assist and slipper clutch. This engine is known to be rev happy and makes a nice sound when taken to the redline. As with most Kawasaki motorcycles, like the Ninja 300 and the now discontinued Ninja 400, this engine is also pretty tractable. It is also pretty good at heat management while riding in the city.

No mechanical changes

Apart from the new paint scheme, Kawasaki has not made any mechanical or design changes to the 2027 Ninja 500. It has a steel trellis frame that is suspended by a telescopic fork and monoshock. Braking is taken care of by a disc brake at the front and the rear. Dual-channel ABS is available as standard.
