Kawasaki has launched the 2027 model of its supernaked, the Z1100, in India. As for what’s updated in the bike, well, absolutely nothing. It continues to be sold at Rs. 12.79 lakh, ex-showroom, in a single Ebony/Metalllic Carbon Gray colour scheme, with the technical details remaining unchanged. We aren’t complaining, though, because it is already a sweet package and nothing really needs to be changed. A new colour scheme, however, with new graphics would’ve added a fresh visual appeal.

Powering the Z1100 is a 1,099cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine that also does duty on the Ninja 1100SX. This smooth powerplant belts out a healthy 136bhp and 113Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch and bi-directional quick shifter. On the chassis front, Kawasaki has used an aluminium frame with the suspension setup comprising a fully adjustable Showa USD fork and a monoshock. Braking comes from twin 310mm discs at the front.

In the technology department, the Z1100 boasts a five-inch TFT display that not only looks sharp but also gives you control over a suite of electronic aids. It gets IMU based three levels of traction control, two power modes, cornering ABS, cruise control, and the quickshifter. Riders also get Bluetooth connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and message notifications.

In India, the Kawasaki Z1100 mainly competes against the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, which is slightly more expensive, with a price tag of Rs. 13.29 lakh.
