- Gets a bigger 798cc engine
- Underpinned by a completely new chassis
- Full unveil on 17 November
Triumph has globally revealed the next-generation Street Triple 798, ahead of the full unveil that is scheduled to take place on 17 November, 2026. While comprehensive details are still under wraps, the British bike maker has released a brief overview of the changes given to the motorcycle.

The biggest revision comes in the form of a bigger 798cc, inline triple engine. This is derived from the Moto2 powerplant that Triumph is commissioned to supply for the race bikes. The company made an announcement about the enlarged motor earlier this year, clarifying that it’ll be higher in power and torque output, achieved through a new cylinder head and redesigned low-inertia valve train for a bumped-up compression ratio and stronger torque across the rev range. Although further details are still awaited, the engine is also supposed to be lighter than before.

Even the chassis components have been completely changed, and the new bike should be more agile, says Triumph. The swingarm is clearly a chunkier new unit, while the rear monoshock placement, and perhaps hardware, are different. Even the main frame looks unlike anything on the existing iteration of the bike. Further, the underslung exhaust can is new to the motorcycle, just like the design. The bug-eyed headlamp is gone, replaced by a single-pod LED projector between the sinister-looking perimeter DRLs. The wheels, Brembo brakes, and Showa front forks seem to be carried over from the previous model.
The new Street Triple 798 looks like the apt revolution of what was already a brilliant mid-size streetfighter. Stay tuned as we bring more details about the motorcycle following its official unveiling on 17 November.
