- SXR GT 125 priced at Rs 1,09,999
- SXR GT 175 costs Rs 1,29,999 with ABS and more performance
- Both scooters are now available across Aprilia dealerships in India
Aprilia India has launched the SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175 with special introductory prices starting at Rs 1,09,999 ex-showroom Maharashtra. SXR GT 175 has been priced at Rs 1,29,999. Prices look noticeably aggressive for scooters positioned around premium urban touring. Both versions receive larger 14-inch wheels and revised engines.
SXR GT 125 is available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White, while the 175 gets Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green. Aprilia has confirmed that these are special launch prices meaning they may be revised later.

Younger sibling SXR GT 125 uses a 124.45cc air-cooled single producing roughly 10.6bhp and 10.4Nm. The elder SXR GT 175 uses a 174.7cc engine developing 13.3bhp and 14.14Nm. These latest hp-e engines have been developed to deliver stronger acceleration and better overall performance while retaining fuel economy. Both powertrains comply with BSVI OBD II Stage B norms and are compatible with E20 petrol.
Perhaps the more practical bit is the move to 14-inch wheels. The larger wheel setup has been introduced to improve stability, handling and ride comfort over varied surfaces.
Both scooters have a telescopic front fork and a dual-effect hydraulic rear shock absorber with five-step adjustment. Braking wise SXR GT 125 gets a 220mm front disc with CBS and a 140mm rear drum. SXR GT 175 uses the same 220mm front disc but come with added ABS. The rear on it is a 140mm drum.

Apart from obviously its larger engine, the 175 is the more suitable choice for riders who intend to cover longer distances. The additional torque should make overtaking and two-up riding easier as well. Front ABS adds another layer of braking confidence.
The 125 makes a stronger argument as the everyday scoot. Its new 14-inch wheels and revised SXR GT body should make it better suited to broken city roads and occasional highway use than before.
Both these scooters are now available through Aprilia dealerships across India. The company has not stated whether deliveries have begun everywhere simultaneously, so availability may still vary by city.
