The new BMW F 450 RR has been unveiled in global markets, adding a fully-faired sportsbike to its 450cc motorcycle platform. The new motorcycle shares its engine with the F 450 R and F 450 GS. Here are its top five highlights.
Supersport Styling

The BMW F 450 RR features sharp bodywork inspired by the larger S 1000 RR. Its design highlights include a centrally mounted, vertically stacked LED headlight, fairing-mounted winglets, an aggressive front end and a raised tail section. The motorcycle gets a fully faired design and a sportier riding stance than the F 450 R naked bike. That said, it doesn’t seem to be as committed as say a Yamaha YZF-R15.
420cc Parallel-Twin Engine
Powering the F 450 RR is a 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a 135-degree crank. It produces 48bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm of torque at 6,750rpm, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Higher specs get adjustable suspension
The F 450 RR has a steel frame that is suspended by a 43mm KYB USD fork and a KYB monoshock. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 310mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. Dual-channel ABS is standard, while the optional Sport Suspension package adds compression and rebound adjustment at the front, along with preload and rebound adjustment at the rear.

Gets a TFT Display and Electronic Rider Aids
The BMW F 450 RR gets a crisp, 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. In terms of electronic assists, the bike gets Rain, Road and Race riding modes, traction control, engine drag torque control, Dynamic Brake Control and ABS Pro. Higher variants with Riding Modes Pro also get additional display layouts, including a lap timer.

Available in four variants
The F 450 RR will be available in four variants: Base, Exclusive, M Sport and M Sport with Innovation Package. Depending on the variant, the motorcycle gets features such as a quickshifter, Sport Suspension and Riding Modes Pro.

The top-spec version also gets BMW’s Easy-Ride-Clutch (ERC), which simplifies clutch operation and allows clutchless gear changes.
