First undisguised photos reveal the upcoming Harley-Davidson Sprint 440’s cruiser styling, tank graphics and hardware, following its teaser earlier this month.
Harley-Davidson’s upcoming Sprint 440 has been spotted without camouflage as the motorcycle starts arriving at dealerships. The latest spy shots provide the clearest look yet at the new cruiser, revealing details that remained hidden in the teaser covered earlier this month.
Harley Sprint 440 – Cruiser Design Revealed
The undisguised motorcycle carries a more traditional cruiser appearance than the X440 roadster. A new fuel tank, scooped rider seat (single piece) and raised pulled-back handlebar define its profile, while extensive black finishes are contrasted by machined engine fins and a bright exhaust heat shield. The exhaust end can is also new, when compared to X440.
The black motorcycle features prominent Harley-Davidson lettering within an orange-bordered, patterned tank graphic. Sprint branding is also visible on the new side panel, reinforcing the identity of the motorcycle seen in the earlier teaser. Other motorcycles in the photos show blue, grey and red tank finishes.
At the front, the entry level Harley cruiser gets a circular headlamp with a bright surrounding trim, separate turn indicators and a compact front mudguard. The exposed headlamp assembly and absence of a large windscreen keep the front profile relatively simple.
Scooped Seat And Raised Handlebar
We can see a pronounced dip in the rider’s seating area, followed by a raised pillion section. Combined with the elevated, pulled-back handlebar, this suggests a riding position aimed at relaxed road use. The wheelbase seems to be more, than the X440, while the rake angle also looks revised.
Compared to the X440, the footpegs seem to be slightly forward. However, the footpegs appear relatively close to the engine rather than positioned far forward. The overall arrangement could therefore offer a balance between cruiser styling and everyday manoeuvrability.
A circular instrument console sits above the handlebar mounting area, angled towards the rider, similar to the one on offer with X440. The close-up also reveals the switchgear and conventional keyed ignition.
USD Forks, Alloy Wheels And Twin Rear Shocks
Hardware visible on the undisguised bike includes upside-down front forks, twin rear shock absorbers and alloy wheels (similar style like X440) with contrasting machined detailing. Disc brakes are fitted at both ends, with an ABS sensor ring visible at the front.
The right-side exhaust runs low alongside the motorcycle and features a metallic heat shield with three dark detailing strips. A small protective plate is visible beneath the front of the engine. The rear photos reveal a fatter rear tyre, compact tail lamp and separate indicators.
Expected To Share X440 Engine, Parts
Sprint 440 is expected to use the X440’s 440cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine and six-speed gearbox. On the X440, this engine produces 27 bhp and 38 Nm, but Sprint-specific output figures and any changes to gearing or tuning remain to be announced.
The motorcycle will be made in India by Hero MotoCorp under its partnership with Harley-Davidson. Its cruiser-focused styling would give the alliance another offering alongside the X440, addressing buyers looking for a more traditional Harley silhouette. Harley X440 sales are in the 2k-3k region per month. With the launch of Harley 440 Cruiser, sales can get a boost.
