Ultraviolette has launched the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle at an introductory price of Rs. 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom) marking it as the first model built on Ultraviolette’s VX-100 architecture. Here are the top five highlights of the new X-47 Venom.
New battery options
X-47 Venom features a new SRB-11 battery pack built on the VX-100 electrical architecture. While the previous iteration was offered in 7.1kWh and 10.5kWh options, Venom offers 7.5kWh and 11kWh battery packs. This results in better usable riding range as the construction and thermal properties have been enhanced. SRB-11 battery pack offers 20 percent greater energy density and twice as much heat dissipation. It can therefore charge faster and offer prolonged performance during faster-paced riding.

New motor with greater performance
Ultraviolette has also prioritised power density, lower weight and improved performance with the VX-100 platform. The newly-developed LightFury motor is set to achieve both targets. The permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) now features soft magnetic composites (SMC) that reduce weight by 5kg, with a faster 0-100 time and a higher 150kmph top speed. The battery and motor weight reductions make the X-47 Venom nearly 20kg lighter than the Crossover, which is no small feat!

New 7-inch TFT cluster
X-47 Venom comes with a larger 7-inch TFT touchscreen display. The new instrument cluster is built with Android OS and features Qualcomm internals. The pack is rated IP67 for water and dust. It also includes a 35W Type-C USB charging port. The 7-inch unit retains mobile phone connectivity through LTE, WiFi, and Bluetooth (on higher variants), and onboard navigation with Mappls integration. The dual-dashcam setup also carries over from the X-47 Crossover, while the base variant only gets a rear camera.

Cruise control and switchable ABS
With the X-47 Venom marketed as a go-anywhere ‘crossover’ style motorcycle, the inclusion of cruise control and switchable ABS is no surprise. While both features are exclusive to the higher Recon and Recon+ variants, they should significantly improve the highway capability and off-road prowess of the X-47 Venom. Ultraviolette’s first-in-segment UV Radar also carries over from the X-47 Crossover only on the top two variants.

Bookings for the Ultraviolette X-47 Venom have opened as of 22 October at all UV Stations across India. Ultraviolette is offering lower introductory pricing and more perks for the first 5,000 bookings, with deliveries set to commence in November 2026.
