Jeep Wrangler has been one of the most quintessential lifestyle off-road vehicles in the world. Even in India, Jeep Wrangler has a good fan following and the latest Wrangler Whitecap Edition is a stark example of that. Before Jeep even launched the Wrangler Whitecap Edition, all 25 units allocated for India, were sold out.
The launch price of Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition is Rs 73.55 lakh (Ex-sh), making it Rs 1.25 lakh more expensive when compared to the Rubicon trim it is based on. Exterior colour is exclusive and it is called Mojito Green and for contrast, Jeep has played with a candy White colour that looks quite nice.
Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition
Even before the launch, all 25 units of Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition allocated for the Indian market were sold out. These 25 units allocated for India are a part of 250 units of Wrangler Whitecap Edition globally, making it quite exclusive for prospective buyers and automotive enthusiasts of the country.
The Arctic White roof is particularly distinctive, taking inspiration from the iconic Jeep CJ-Universal. We can see White elements on the hardtop roof along with the seven slot grille up front and then White detailing on the side with 1941 branding which signifies the debut year of the original Willy MB Jeep.
While body coloured fenders are notable at the sides, Whitecap Edition gets exclusive ‘4 Wheel Drive’ decal at the rear, finished in White. On the inside, Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition retains most of the standard attributes from Rubicon trim it is based on, except for two new additions – built-in dashcam and reinforced grab handles.
Other standard equipment include 12-way powered front seats, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, 7-inch instrumentation, 9-speaker Alpine audio system, ADAS suite, heavy-duty Dana axles, off-road camera, rock rails, 17-inch alloy wheels and more. Powering Jeep Wrangler Whitecap Edition is the same 2.0L Petrol engine with 272 bhp and 400 Nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
