New Pulsar N250SS brings more power, an additional gear and electronic throttle control, extending Bajaj’s Pulsar update programme that began in August

Bajaj Auto has officially launched the new Pulsar N250SS at Rs 1,59,406, ex-showroom Delhi. Following its recent appearance at dealerships, the motorcycle now gets an official price and confirmed specifications. The update introduces changes to the engine and transmission, alongside a larger technology package that includes a TFT display, Google Maps mirroring and a Sports Shifter.

The launch continues Bajaj’s ongoing refresh of the Pulsar family. Since August 2026, the company has introduced updated N160 variants, new-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 motorcycles, and the NS400Z TFT variant. The N250SS now takes that upgrade programme into the quarter-litre N series.

Four-Valve Engine And New Six-Speed Gearbox

One of the biggest changes on the Pulsar N250SS is its four-valve engine, which produces 25 PS and 22 Nm of torque. These figures represent a modest increase over the existing N250’s 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm.

More significantly, Bajaj has replaced the earlier five-speed gearbox with a six-speed unit. The additional ratio is accompanied by a Sports Shifter (quickshifter), expanding the motorcycle’s performance equipment beyond the changes to peak output.

The N250SS also introduces an Electronic Throttle Body, or ETB, with associated ride modes. These are offered alongside the existing ABS modes, bringing another layer of electronic control to the motorcycle.

5-Inch TFT With Google Maps Mirroring

The earlier LCD instrument console makes way for a new 5-inch TFT display. Google Maps mirroring is among its key additions, giving the N250SS a more comprehensive navigation interface.

The TFT upgrade follows a broader trend across Bajaj’s latest Pulsar updates, with new displays and revised electronic features appearing on several models. On the N250SS, these additions accompany the engine and gearbox changes, making this a more substantial update than a cosmetic refresh.

Bajaj has also added adjustable levers and a USB Type-C port. The former allows riders to tailor lever reach, while the charging port adds convenience for those using their phones on longer journeys. A hazard switch and Panic Brake Alert round out the newly announced equipment.

Commenting on the launch, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit, Bajaj Auto, said the combination of an upgraded powertrain and ETB ride modes strengthens the motorcycle’s proposition. He added that the company’s focus is on making technology a meaningful part of the riding experience.

Pulsar Update Programme Continues

The N250SS arrives as Pulsar marks 25 years, with Bajaj updating models across multiple price and displacement categories. Alongside the launches already announced, recent sightings of updated NS160 and RS200 test motorcycles suggest further additions to the programme.
