Kawasaki India is expanding their entry-level multi-cylinder 300cc motorcycle lineup to sit alongside the popular Ninja 300. We’re talking about the Kawasaki Z300, based on the Ninja 300, which has just been showcased to select dealers at a private event in Bengaluru.
Images or videos of said event where the upcoming Kawasaki Z300 was showcased, seems to have not leaked. Bookings for Kawasaki Z300 is expected to commence on October 19th and a formal launch is likely to happen on 20th of October. Aprilia Tuono 457 is its multi-cylinder rival, but KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310 will primarily be in the crosshairs.
New Kawasaki Z300 Showcased
Ahead of its formal launch expected to happen on 20th of October 2026, Kawasaki India has showcased their upcoming Z300 multi-cylinder naked motorcycle to select dealers at a private even in Bengaluru. As per reports, bookings will start on 19th October 2026.
Kawasaki Z300 will be the most accessible Z supernaked on sale in India from Team Green. It will be based on the ever-popular Ninja 300, while carrying visual distinctions from its popular big bikes like Z900. It has to be noted that Kawasaki Z900 is India’s most popular 4-cylinder motorcycle and has a loyal fanbase.
If Kawasaki managed to get the formula of Z900 looks with Ninja 300’s tried and tested underpinnings, Team Green might re-create the effect Yamaha R15 is enjoying, but in the multi-cylinder motorcycle segment.
What to expect?
As per a recent report, Kawasaki Z300 will be offered in Green and Black colour options. Attributes include wide and upright single-piece handlebar, relaxed ergonomics and a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. It has to be noted that Ninja 300 still does not get a TFT cluster.
We wish Kawasaki offers Z300 with USD front forks along with LED lighting (including LED blinkers), for a premium quotient. Z300 will probably ride on the same 17-inch alloy wheels as Ninja 300 and offer similar tyres too. Single disc brakes at both ends and dual channel ABS are expected, and we hope traction control and an optional quickshifter in the mix too.
Powering the upcoming Kawasaki Z300 will be the same 296cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with DOHC 4V/cyl head and liquid cooling. This high-revving engine in Ninja 300 is rated at 39 bhp and 26.1 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Ninja 300 weighs 170 kg and it is currently priced at Rs 3.34 lakh (Ex-sh). Kawasaki Z300 is expected to weigh and cost less than Ninja 300.
