- More powerful engine and upgraded chassis confirmed
- India introduction could follow during the first half of 2027
Triumph Tiger 900 will get a substantial update with the new motorcycle scheduled for its global unveiling on 15 December 2026. Triumph says the next Tiger 900 will get more power, greater refinement, an upgraded chassis, improved rider technology and next-generation connectivity.
The full specification on the 2027 motorcycle remains secret for now. However, describing both the engine and chassis as upgraded indicates that Triumph is working on the core motorcycle. That is interesting because the current Tiger 900 remains a relatively fresh and competitive package. The India-spec model uses an 888cc liquid-cooled T-Plane three-cylinder engine producing 106bhp. Triumph says its unusual 1-3-2 firing order is designed to combine tractability at lower revs with stronger performance towards the top of the rev range.

Triumph has now explicitly confirmed that the replacement will be more powerful. Whether that comes from a further development of the 888cc engine or a change in capacity has not been announced.
Unlike the Tiger 1200, which will be revealed in October, Triumph is holding the Tiger 900 until 15 December 2026, making it the final motorcycle in this four-model rollout. A more realistic expectation would be an Indian introduction during the first half of 2027, potentially after the international motorcycles begin reaching dealerships.
