Shoei J-Cruise 3 Acconic has been introduced with three new graphic options giving this premium open-face touring helmet a more colourful appearance. In India Shoei helmets are largely sourced through independent importers and specialist riding-gear retailers, the new Acconic versions could cost roughly Rs 65,000 once stocks begin arriving probably end of this year.
The three new options are called TC-2, TC-6 and TC-9. TC-2 has a gloss-black base with grey detailing and a geometric arrow pattern gradually moves into purple. TC-6 takes gets a lighter approach with a pearl-white base, a light-blue band and an interlocking circular graphic. TC-9 is darker mixing matt black with bronze and copper detailing and a textured-looking treatment.
Underneath the new graphics sits an AIM composite shell with a multi-density EPS impact liner. Shoei manufactures the helmet in three outer shell sizes to keep the overall proportions under control across different head sizes. J-Cruise 3 weighs approximately 1,400g and carries ECE 22.06 homologation in Euro spec.
The helmet uses Shoei’s wide CJ-2 outer visor along with an integrated QSV-2 internal sun visor. Interior is removable and washable, and different cheek-pad thicknesses are available to fine-tune the fit. A stainless-steel micro-ratchet system handles the chin-strap fastening.
Shoei has also designed the J-Cruise 3 around its Comlink communication system. It is prepared for the Sena SRL3 Bluetooth unit. Ventilation comes through multiple intake and exhaust points, while an integrated rear spoiler forms part of the aerodynamic package.
Based on most aftermarket figures for the J-cruise, expect it to be around Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000 realistically in the Indian aftermarket range. Certain sizes or early imported batches could naturally cost more, particularly if availability remains limited.
