The Triumph Bonneville T40 was launched recently in India at Rs 2.8 lakh, ex-showroom. It is the entry point in Triumph motorcycle’s Bonneville range of motorcycles. Here is a look at the bike through images.

The design of the Bonneville T40 is its biggest highlight. It, in many ways, looks like a scaled down version of the bigger Bonnevilles. From the round headlight to the teardropped shaped fuel tank and curved fenders, it looks unmistakably like a Bonneville.

There’s loads of attention to detail as well. Bits like the hand painted stripes on the tank, the brushed steel exhaust and the TFT dash give the T40 a premium appearance.

Powering the T40 is a 350cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 28.3bhp and 31Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The bike also gets three ride modes, Road, Rain and Eco, as well as two configurable modes, taking the total to five,. The motorcycle also gets cruise control, lean-sensitive ABS and traction control.

In terms of competition, the Bonneville T40 goes up against the Honda CB500 when it comes to pricing.
