  • ADV 160 Trico Edition breaks cover in Malaysia
  • Slightly more expensive than the standard version
  • Mechanical details remain unchanged

Honda has unveiled the new ADV 160 Trico edition in Malaysia. While it is mechanically the same as the standard version of the scooter, it caught our attention due to the stunning tricolour livery it dons. The red, white, and blue colour combination on the front apron accentuates its muscular appeal, while the same mix of shades sitting under the seat completes the swanky look.

In Malaysia, the Trico edition is slightly more expensive than the standard model of the scooter. We really wish Honda brought a similar colour combination to the ADV 160 to India. There are four colour schemes of the scooter currently on sale in India, including brown, blue, and two different variants of grey. It is priced at Rs. 1.70 lakh, ex-showroom, but the availability is limited to very few cities in India right now.

The India-spec version of the ADV 160 is powered by a 156.9cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing around 16.9bhp and 14.9Nm and is paired with a CVT automatic transmission. The engine is also E85-compliant. It rides on a 14-13-inch alloy wheel combination with telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. Other noteworthy features include a 12.7cm TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition system, auto start-stop system, and traction control. Boasting a fuel tank capacity of 8.1 litres, the ADV 160 weighs 137kg (kerb).
