- Resembles the Z900 in terms of styling
- Powered by the same engine as the Ninja 300
- Bookings to begin by 19 October 2026
Kawasaki India has unveiled the Z300 streetfighter in India at a recent event in Bengaluru. This upcoming streetfighter will be the new entry point into the Kawasaki Z lineup in India. Bookings for the motorcycle will begin on 19 October 2026, with the prices and other details to be announced on 20 October 2026.
The motorcycle is based on the Kawasaki Ninja 300, with the same engine. For reference, the Ninja 300’s 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 38.4bhp and 26.1Nm. We can expect the motor to produce similar figures on the Z300.
The underpinnings of the upcoming streetfighter could be similar to the Ninja 300. The suspension setup will likely be the same telescopic fork and monoshock setup as the Ninja 300. The bike will likely roll on 17-inch alloys with a 290mm front and 220mm rear petal disc setup with dual-channel ABS.

Electronics-wise, the motorcycle would offer an upgrade over the Ninja 300’s dated semi-digital console. The Z300 will feature a TFT console with smartphone connectivity and related features such as turn-by-turn navigation.
The Z300’s success will depend on how Kawasaki prices it. If the brand can get it below the Rs. 3 lakh mark, it would be at the same level as its rivals like the KTM 390 Duke. But currently, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 is priced at Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a bit too expensive for what it has to offer compared to rivals. Hopefully Kawasaki doesn’t repeat the same with the Z300.
