This teaser does not reveal a lot, but one can see a new rear tyre hugger that looks like it is hinged from both sides. In the video, we can see this motorcycle doing a burnout and the video caption reads “Gear Up To Live Extreme”. The launch is likely to happen on October 16th or 17th of 2026.

When launched, it will take on other 160cc sporty rivals like the recently updated Bajaj Pulsar N160 4V along with TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Currently, Xtreme 160R 4V starts from Rs 1.35 lakh for non-ETB variant and Rs 1.38 lakh for ETB variant (Electronic Throttle Body) (both prices Ex-sh).

Will it get a TFT Cluster This Time?

If you remember the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition launched in November 2025, it got a host of updates including electronic throttle body, cruise control, 3 riding modes, new Class D LED headlights and a colour LCD instrument cluster, among others. This LCD cluster supported Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation among other connected features.

However, Hero MotoCorp Instagram post caption mentioned it as a TFT cluster and many believed this LCD cluster was a TFT one. Even though it was not. Fast forwarding to October 2026, Xtreme 160R 4V looks like it is getting a major update to counter advancing rivals from Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor.

To keep Xtreme 160R 4V competitive, Hero MotoCorp might give it a TFT cluster this time around. It has to be noted that its rivals offer TFT cluster with Google Maps mirroring and hero could match these attributes or even one-up them. Features like panic braking alert, all-LED lighting, 3 ride modes, cruise control, ETB and others are likely to be carried forward.

Powering the new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V could be the same engine as before. This is a 163.2cc single-cylinder engine with 4V head and an oil-cooler making 16.9 PS and 14.6 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, radial tyres, KYB USD front forks, rear mono-shock and other cycle parts could continue too.
