- Launch scheduled for 4 September 2026
- To feature a simple instrument console setup
- Likely to be priced around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 is scheduled to be launched on 4 September 2026 and will be the second model based on the brand’s 440 platform. It will also be Royal Enfield’s most affordable adventure bike and could be positioned between the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the Himalayan 450.
Since the discontinuation of the Himalayan 411, customers looking for an affordable entry point into the Royal Enfield adventure lineup were left wanting. The Himalayan 450, while a step up in performance, was a bit too expensive.

With the Himalayan 440, Royal Enfield could cater to customers looking for a simple and rugged adventure bike for touring and light off-roading. It will feature the same 443cc, air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Scram 440. On the Scram, the motor produces 25.4bhp and 34Nm.
The underpinnings could also be different, with the Himalayan 440 running a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup. It will likely feature long-travel suspension, with 190mm travel at the front and 180mm of travel at the rear, similar to the Himalayan 411.

The instrument console will be a simpler setup compared to the Himalayan 411, with the same semi-digital setup as the Scram 440. It consists of an analogue speedometer, with a digital inset for fuel level, time, trip, and odometer readouts. The bike will likely feature the Royal Enfield tripper navigation module as standard.
Royal Enfield could likely price it around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which should make it a lot more affordable than the Himalayan 450.
