SMK Agnar Revv has been launched in India at Rs 6,700 (MRP inclusive of all taxes). Not a new helmet, Revv is a fresh graphic treatment for the existing Agnar full-face platform. This graphic takes inspiration from the sweep of a rev counter. Fine parallel lines run across the crown and towards the visor and angular contrasting panels add some depth to the design.
The graphics are available in six colour combinations, split between gloss and matte finishes. Darker versions use contrasting orange, red or blue accents, while lighter grey and white options offer a more restrained appearance. Agnar Revv is available in sizes ranging from XS to XXL through SMK’s authorised dealer network. Online availability will follow, although the company has not announced a date yet.
Underneath the new graphics, the Agnar remains mechanically unchanged. An important construction detail is the use of two separate outer shell sizes. Rather than using a single shell across the complete size range and compensating with thicker internal padding, SMK uses two shell moulds to better suit different head sizes. Although the use of separate shell sizes would be welcome across all sizes to strengthen safety quotient, but at least two is still a welcome step.
The shell itself is made from Energy Impact Resistant Thermoplastic EIRT and is paired with a multi-density EPS liner. The Agnar Revv carries ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI certification. It also uses 21 stainless-steel vents with channelled intake and exhaust paths. SMK says the system is designed not only to move hot air through the helmet but also to manage airflow around the shell and reduce wind noise.
Agnar Revv also has a dual-visor arrangement. The main outer visor is scratch-resistant and uses a one-touch quick-release system, while an internal retractable sun visor provides additional protection in bright conditions. Interior is removable, washable and hypoallergenic, while the retention system uses a double D-ring strap.
