BMW Motorrad has teased the upcoming BMW F 450-based sports bike and has also announced that the bike will be unveiled on 15 October 2026. We believe it will likely be called the BMW F 450 RR. This will be the third model based on the BMW 450 platform. Here’s everything we know about the bike.
From the teaser, we can see that the motorcycle features an aggressive design and styling that likely takes inspiration from the BMW S1000 RR. Some similarities are visible, like the winglet setup. The brand has done the same for the recently unveiled BMW F 450 R, taking styling cues from the S1000 R.
The teaser also reveals some interesting details, like the wheel-mounted discs similar to the F 450 R. We can expect much of the underpinnings to remain the same on both motorcycles, including the 17-inch alloys at both ends. The F 450 RR could also get the same TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres as well.
The bike could also get the same 6.5-inch TFT console with multiple riding modes, traction control, a quickshifter and more. Similar to the F 450 R, the German bikemaker could offer multiple variants with different feature sets. The Easy-Ride-Clutch (ERC) could be available in one of the higher variants, along with adjustable suspension and more.
It will be powered by the same 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 48bhp at 8,750rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750rpm in the F 450 R. In India, the BMW F 450 RR will go up against the Aprilia Tuono 457 and the Kawasaki Ninja 500.
