Kawasaki India has updated the Z900 for 2027 model year at Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. Now unlike the substantial overhaul that arrived with the previous update, this new MY27 motorcycle is largely a colour and homologation refresh. 2027 Z900 is now available in Ebony with Metallic Carbon Gray and Metallic Spark Black, and the awesome Pearl Blizzard White with Plasma Lime Green. Both these colourways are new to the India-spec motorcycle.
The outgoing 2026 Z900 was offered in Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray with Metallic Flat Spark Black and Candy Lime Green with Metallic Carbon Gray. Both of which have now disappeared from Kawasaki India’s 2027 listing.
There is, however, one small difference in the India-spec engine figures. The new Z900 continues with the 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four, but Kawasaki India now lists maximum output at 121bhp. For comparison, the official 2026 India page listed the same engine at 122bhp with identical torque output. That means the figure has fallen by 1bhp for MY27. Kawasaki has not explained the reason for this change. It could be related to homologation or the way the output is being declared for the latest model year.
There is another small numerical difference. Kawasaki India now lists the 2027 Z900 at 213kg kerb, one kilogram heavier than the 212kg figure for the 2026 model. Estimated dry weight hence rises from 192kg to 193kg.
